| Message: | My girlfriend has a 2003 S Type, pushing 100k... Since she's had it there have been repeated problems with mostly the cooling system (there have been others, all electrical related); the latest is the overheat idiot light is coming on BUT THE TEMP GAGE READS NORMAL. She's taken it in to the dealer and a private Jag shop and still problems continue to arise around the cooling system. Read on a previous post about false overheat indication and to check the CHT sensor, but in that case the temp gage went ballistic too. With us it's just the idiot light. Also there is a new, small leak of coolant from somewhere (there have been dozens of others, all been fixed, and then the m-effer starts leaking somewhere else). So is there something going on that the Jag mechanics just keep missing, and something that can STOP the cooling system problems, or do we just have a lemon on our hands?? A thought that I've had (not accounting for the leak) is that perhaps there's an electrical problem....the coolant light has been the most frequent repeat discrepancy, but earlier on there was an issue with the ABS light coming on, but no problem with the ABS. Could this all be electrical related (relays/wiring/etc)? Thanks for the help!! | ||||
