| Message: | | I have a 2001 S-type Jaguar. It has 53,000 miles on it. The 1st thing that happened was the window regulator $300.00. Also th steering mechanism has stayed messed up even while it was under warranty. On Sept. 10th the transmission went out to the tune of $5000.00 dollars this is not a new transmission but a Jaguar refurbished transmission a new one is $9000.00. While at the Jaguar dealership I asked why a transmission would go out at 53,000 miles and they said some do and some don't. They also told me another lady has had 3 transmisions and hers is under 40,000 miles. I previously owned a 7 eries BMW and I thou7ght that was costly but NOTHING compared to this. My BMW didn't have mechanical problems but computer chip issues and it had alot more miles on it 100,000. I am very interested in the class action lawsuit. I don't expect a car not to have to be fixed but not transmissions and all the other stuff when the car is barely broken in.
