Highest mileage S-Type? (2805 views) (15923 thread views) 
Message: Greetings,

I was curious about some of the higher mileage S-types on our Board. I bought my 3L BRG in 2000 but only have 46K miles on it. I had an assigned work car that I was authorized to commute with as I had to be avaialble to return to work on a 24/7 basis. Since retiring last year from that job, I've been commuting in my S and its been great. My car has been very reliable over the years with no significant problems other 2 power window regulators that had the clips break. I do all my own maintenance though not much has been needed other than oil and filter changes, brake pads and a battery. I connedted a PAC interface cable to the rear of the standard radio to connect an IPOD and will be adding a center dash woodkit shortly. I'm thinking about changing the transmission fluid but was concerned about problems with using the flush method.

Please share your experiences positive as well as negative. This has been the most reliable and enjoyable car I've ever owned.
