| Message: | | Re the gas tank, on occasion, after a refill, the guage does not go up or it goes up very slowly. Jaguar denied this. They charged me for a full tank of gas (marked up by 30%) and said it works fine. I explained to them that it does it occasionally. After I got loud with them (again) they checked it more thoroughly and called me to say I was right. They changed both floaters inside the gas tank and problem disappeared. Their reaction to everything is that "there is no problem" or "that's the way it's supposed to be". Additionally, excessive tire noise. They claim that the car is originally is fitted with wrong tires. And as far as brake pads, I had to change them at 12,000 km, they say that this is the way they are supposed to work. It is because of the ABS.
Bottom line, I like the car, I hate the brand. My car is 1.5 years old with 20,000 km on it. It has been in for service over 10 times, including a new transmission (first week I had it, Transmission fault light came on). Also have had the brake pump replaced (fault light kept coming on and parking brake light was coming on while I was driving) Ever since then, every time I complained about the lurching, they tell me it is normal. If I did not lose half the original purchase price, I would in fact get rid of it and buy a Ford Mondeo to get the Jaguar effect and 2/3 of the price in my pocket.
