Message: I see everyone is defending Ford - uh, Jaguar - on this. What started the whole thing, a bad transmission at ~40K miles? You guys think that's defensible? The shop may be screwing it up - also quite indefensible - but there's NO EXCUSE whatsoever for a bad trans at 40k.
Karen, you may have to do some research to get the thing fixed right - alternate dealer, specialty shops, etc. It might run ya a few bucks but at least then you'll be able to sell it and get a BMW.
