Risi has set the GT2 record for most consecutive GT2 wins with 5 dating back to last year's 4 hour race at Laguna Seca. The GT2 battle was intense at the 55th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 17th, 2007. Jaime Melo was driving the # 62 Ferrari F430 GTC while Jörg Bergmeister was driving the # 45 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. The 1st and 2nd place cars in GT2 completed 330 laps. Just 16 were under caution for the 55th running of the Twelve Hours of Sebring. The margin of victory was just .202 seconds. Ferrari got its first victory in the Twelve Hours of Sebring since 1998 when Didier Theys, Mauro Baldi, and Gianpierro Moretti won in a Ferrari 333SP. The back stretch is called the Ulmann straight. | ||||
