I have been restoring a 1967 mustang with the help of my brother and am trying to get the car back to as close as i can with tha original parts that it came with. I was lucky enough to find some original dated radiater heater hoses. My question is how do i maintain them they are in pretty good shape. What sort of rubber preservative or rubber protectant should i use. Is there a difference between a rubber preservative and a rubber protectant? I know alot of folks on here use 303 but im not really concerned that much about the UV rays of the sun attacking the hoses because of course they arent exposed to them being under the hood. Im looking for some sort of protectant or preservative that will protect the hoses from the heat of the motor and will not discolor, harden or remove the date markings on the hoses. What would you guys recommend that i use? Thanks in advance for your help-- Have a happy day
