FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does Z-AIO replace Z-1?
Yes. While there are differences between each product, Z-AIO adds many more benefits, thus retiring Z-1. Z-AIO contains some cleaning agents, as well as enough gloss & protectant to be a true one product solution for some customers. Z-1 required the use of a subsequent protectant like Z-2 or Z-5 PRO, while Z-AIO does not.

Do I need to use ZFX with Z-AIO?
No. ZFX is not directly needed with Z-AIO.

What if I want to apply Z-2 or Z-5 PRO on top of Z-AIO?
You will certainly be very happy with the results. For subsequent applications of Z-2 or Z-5 PRO, ZFX is not required unless you want to apply multiple coats of product in quick succession (this is a benefit of using ZFX). Z-2 or Z-5 PRO without ZFX can optionally be applied no more than once every 8-12 hours.

However, if you choose to apply ZFX enabled Z-2 or Z-5 PRO on top of Z-AIO, follow the respective directions for those Zaino protectants.

Can Z-AIO be layered?
I wouldn't. There would be little, if any, benefit to layering Z-AIO as any later application would likely remove the prior one. If you're trying to accomplish a greater depth of gloss and heightened protection with layering, it should be done with Z-2 or Z-5 PRO.

Can Z-AIO be used with a random orbital buffer?
Sure. A lot of our beta testers use Z-AIO and a buffer with great success, but the developmental initiative was focused on ease of application and results when applied by hand.

When would I use Z-AIO verses Z-2 or Z-5 PRO?
Z-AIO is not in the same product category as Z-2 or Z-5 PRO. Neither Z-2 or Z-5 PRO contain any cleaners or abrasives. Z-2 or Z-5 PRO contain higher gloss and durability than can be achieved with a single product that includes cleaners or abrasives. Most customers will choose to use Z-AIO as the foundation to other Zaino Show Car Polish protectants like Z-CS Clear Seal, or Z-2 or Z-5 PRO.

How does Z-AIO compare to Z-PC?
Z-AIO is a less abrasive product that does contain any protectant. For minor oxidation and surface debris cleansing, Z-AIO can handle it. If it's necessary to work a little deeper to resolve more serious surface imperfections, Z-PC should be used. Use of Z-PC requires follow up with another protectant like Z-2 or Z-5 PRO, or even Z-CS Clear Seal, while Z-AIO does not.

Should I use Z-AIO on painted plastic?
Definitely. You can and should use Z-AIO on nearly all exterior surfaces including: paint (including door jambs), glass, plastic lenses, wheels, chrome or any non-porous surfaces. Z-AIO will not stain or leave a residue.

My review:
This car was last polished august 20th, it had 3x of Z2pro applied then. So 4.5 months ago.

Last wash 2-3 weeks ago.

Before wash:

You can see the light swirling after 4.5 months after the last polish.

Beading very well after 4.5 months:

The object of this review to apply ZAIO and CS in a basic process. No polishing before and no PC use for application of ZAIO. Also I wanted to make sure that no zaino was left over from 4.5 months ago when I last applied some, so I did a IPA/water 50/50 wipe down. I would think that ZAIO has enough cleaners in it that it will remove Z2pro from months ago. I wanted to make sure that I was starting with a clean slate and if ZAIO has good durability, it was going to show it on its own. Please note that I did apply the new Zaino Clear Seal to the center section of the hood over the ZAIO. This was done to test the CS over the ZAIO and see what it adds in looks and durability over time.

Prep: Z7 wash with Sheepskin mitt,2 bucket method, dried with WW MF. IPA/Water 50/50 wipe down

Removal tool: Poorboys DELUXE MEGA TOWEL (orange). I used the small nap side.
Areas products applied: ZAIO to entire painted surfaces. CS to center section of hood.

Notes:

ZAIO:

Goes on very easy, I est ½ oz for the entire car.
I worked it in to the entire car. Then came back and started to remove it with the DMT MF. It came off very easy with little effort.

Clear Seal:

[*]I spritz’d the zaino cotton app once. I worked it in to the center section of the hood.
[*]It wiped on very easy as the surface seemed to be “prepped” or “slick” from the ZAIO application.
[*]I took the app and blotted the CS in one section to try and apply it thick.
By the time I was done working it in everywhere else, CS had already disappeared into the paint. The only section that did not is where I blotted it heavy. I came back to the car in 15 mins and the CS that I applied heavy (blotted) was gone.

30 mins after the CS appliation I took the car outside for some pics. Looking at the hood with the sun shining directly at it, I am 100% sure that there is no residue left from the CS. I never had to do any wiping of the area where the CS was applied.

Appearance:

ZAIO: All the painted areas that just have ZAIO on them look very good. I think an application of Z8 would increase the appearance, but not going to apply any Z8 to this car due to durability testing.

CS: In the direct sun its very hard to tell any difference on white where and where not the CS was applied on the hood.

Durability outlook: I only plan on washing this car with QEW or Z7. No other products will be applied. No Z8 or Z6. Car is parked at the Atlanta airport where I work 45 hours a week. It is garaged at home.

Here is the area where I applied the CS thick, look at the light, right to the left of the small chip in the paint.

That is right after I applied it to the rest of the center section of the hood. Note at other areas where CS was applied, it had already "disappeared" in to the paint.
