All depends on the anchoring ability of the sealant. True, complete flash curing is not the case even with Zaino. The catalyst accelerates the actual anchoring/bonding process without being able to perform it in its entirety. It helps to stabilize the film to form a stable, immovable base. The actual curing is a longer process and it is done when the finish reached its final optical state (usually 1-3 days; depending on the product). Some sealants are able to anchor rather quickly, some need more time. 2180 is capable of doing the necessary bonding/anchoring in aprox. 20 minutes, then it is solid enough to be layered. Somewhere as an example, I wrote the curing timeframe of Carlack 68 but here it is again: Chemical Hardening Process 1 min: 20% 10 min: 35% 30 min: 80% 60 min: 90% 48 hours: 100% As you can see, the product is practically stable enough to be layered after 30 minutes (do not count the cleaners of CL68, we talk about the synthetics themselves). | ||||
