Cure time (742 views)
Message: I know this is probably going to start a flame about defending FK, but here goes.

This is one of the downsides to FK, it needs time to cure. So, leaving the car outside where dew could form on the surface before it was fully cured, may have affected your durability results. I know, it sucks to have to keep the car dry, but that is how it is. I can't say that I know getting it wet will destroy it, but everyone with any experience with FK will tell you it needs to stay dry.

In fact, I got a bird dropping on mine in the first 24 hours or so and that left a mark. Once the stuff is cured though, it shrugs them off no problem.

I said it before, FK is good because you can apply as many coats and different products as you want, back to back. Bad news is you have to let it dry. Zaino limits how much you can apply in a 24 hour period (3 coats), but it is pretty bullet proof right away. Take your pick! Not many of the fanatics (me included) can walk away from a well prepped car after one coat.

So, there we have it, flame on!
