Re: Badly smeared my car with Zaino -- HELP! (551 views)
Message: There are lots of experts on here. I'm not one of them. I've used Zaino products on three different cars several times. Just Zainoed (and raggtopped) my roadster yesterday. I have never had any problem whatsoever.

So...I can only guess what others have suggested. There is something on your car that is preventing the Zaino from drying and bonding to your paint. I know you said that you washed your car twice. Did you use the original, non-hand softening blue Dawn? My guess is that you may have used a detergent with some kind of softening agent in it. If that isn't it, a prior wax or something else has been applied to your car that wasn't properly stripped.

Try the quick detailer ala Wayne first. If that doesn't work, make certain that you have original Dawn with no additives at all, give it another wash. Of course, you can always call Sal Zaino and get the expert's opinion first hand. The only thing I can say is that I was intimidated by all the stuff here last spring when I used Zaino the first time. Now I don't use anything else on my cars.
