Actually, P21S outscored NXT in the first round of testing. Also, if you wish to factor in things that weren’t mentioned in the test (such as the ability to apply NXT via PC), then let me add a few more things into the mix:
1. P21S is a wipe-on, wipe-off wax with virtually no wait-time.
2. P21S requires far less effort to apply and remove than NXT (yes, even with PC). Mr. Phillips has gone a bit too far in promoting NXT’s ease of use, which IMO, takes a backseat to Meguiar’s #20.
3. P21S is trim-friendly while NXT is not.
4. P21S can be layered while NXT, because of its cleaning properties, could not be layered as effectively.
5. The fact that NXT has cleaners and can be used as a one-step does not inherently make it a better product. It just means that it is more suited to a certain level of detailer…while P21S & Z-2/Z-5 are more suited to a different level of detailer.
