Message: Steve, I dont want to rain on your parade but the crossfire was the worst offering by Chevrolet EVER! The 84 was wrought with issues and the engine is only one of them. You probably will never be happy with the carb set up. My advice? Sell it and if you absolutely have to have a "similar" car, look for an 85 or 86. They do have their own set of issues i.e. fuel rails that are too close to the engine which CAN cause vapor lock on hot days. Good luck.
