In my experience, any claim over some threshold (around $100 for me), will be noted on your insurance history. This will most likely not affect your premiums, though you will need to contact your insurer to make sure.
On another note, you will still need to contact your insurer to at least inform them that you are having work done to your vehicle. This would be for two reasons, 1) if something happens between the accident and the completion of work, the insurance company will know that the damage you told them about will not be calculated inclusive of any new accident damage and 2) they will need to make sure the car was repaired to its original condition so that they don't have to reassess possible insurance risk.
