Re: Post if you own/have ordered an Z4 M Coupe (470 views)
Message: Hi Leonardo:

My wife and I just picked up my 2007 M Coupe via The performance Delivery Center (3/16/2007). The car is black sapphire with black extended nappa leather and black carbon leather on the dash. It looks awesome!!! I advise anyone that can, to take delivery via The Performance Center. Track time was a blast, the folks there are very nice and the Greenville Marriot was very comfortable and accomadating. We stoped at the Biltmore Estate too, way cool. The 800 mile trip home to Michigan was also fun with very short blasts up to 100 MPH.

The car is very smooth and solid on the highway. 80 MPH feels like 60 MPH and 60 feels like 40. According to the car's computer and my own calculations, the car averaged 22.1 MPG with a 70.1 MPH average. I varied speed as best as I could between 65 and 80 MPH to observe break-in procedures. I can not wait until I reach that point!!! No problems to report.

Although the car is small it is very comfortable and does not make you feel cramped. I am 5 foot 9 inches and 175lbs so that makes a difference. The car does have some short comings like sun visors that do not swing to the side. The auto dimming rear view mirror could be more effective (or manual) for when p/u trucks, SUV's and xenons are behind you. No H2O temp. gauge or cruise indicator. These are trivial and can be overlooked. I bought the car for its looks and the street racer that it is not to mention that I am a diehard BMW lover.

Remember, every car cannot please all people. All cars have their strengths and weaknesses and the buyer/owner should have a good understanding of the car and why they are purchasing a chosen vehicle. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email or respond for further insight.

Happy motoring, I mean HI PO driving to all.

Frank
