The road feeback is completely artificial - making the car feel much lighter than it actually is...does not communicate the true contact that the tires are having with the road...boggles my mind how the feedback could be so bad in the M3, while the regulary 3 series I have driven seemed to be much better.

This was a complaint with the E46 M3 as well - steering feel too light, not as good as non-M E46. It wasn't a deal-breaker for the E46, probably won't be for the E92 either.
