| Message: | I am having the exact same problem with my 525i 1990. Originally it was running at 3/4 gauge temperature. Then the previous owner informed me to remove the thermostat to improve water flow. I did. I have also bled the water system above the thermostat housing, where there is a little screw at the top. But the car continues to over heat. I also get the same experience with the heater. The hot air in side the car no longer heats up. Before I took out the thermostat this morning it was working fine. I am puzzled to what the solution could be. I am going to put the T-stat back into housing because it doesn't seem to be the problem. Basically I have just spent $2000 on this car getting it registered a few days ago. I don't want it to die on my now. Could someone please help? I don't have a lot of cash and I could take the car to a mechanic to have him tell me. "I have no idea" $1,000 later. | ||||
