No Power at Fuel Pump? Am I testing it right? (35 views) (38 thread views)
Message: My 95 525iT will run if I spray carb cleaner in it. The Fuel Pump seems to make NO Noise. I put a test light in all 6 holes of the wiring connector to fuel pump, tried the ignition for each and got no power to it. I replaced the Fuel Pump Relay, the Fuel pump fuze is good. What else would be stopping the power to the fuel pump. I hesitate to replace the expensive fuel pump if it seems I am getting no power to it. Can't find a diagram of the wiring from the tank to the carb. What am I missing? Can I pull the pump and test it? Is it possible the fuel pump plug must be plugged in to get an indication of power going to it? Please help if possible.
Victor
