Hi, I just found this site, it must be fate. I am purchasing a 1989 M535i tomorrow. I have not been able to find any info on this particular model. I know the older m535i & is were very desirable cars to own, but other than a couple of pics on you tube I have not seen an e34 M535i. I guess my first question is, is the badging on this car legit? If it is an "M", what if any are the differences between it and the standard 535i? e.g. does the 3.5 have any more power? does it have a LSD? Is this a rare car or am I being duped?

Any information that can be provided is truly and sincerely appreciated. This car needs a lot of work,but mostly cosmetically.
(*needs windshield,mirror,power steering hose,etc.The engine seems good, the auto trans appears ok 137K miles. beautiful car if brought back to its original condition.
