Ask the forum, not the lounge (8 views)
Message: Hello David. There are a few greatly knowledgable guys on the forum, if you post a message there you are likely to get a good answer instead of posting it here in the lounge.
I can't offer you any experience really with this problem although I do know that there is always a way of resetting the remote locking by a combination of button pressing and suchlike. My alarm is an after market cobra alarm but to give you an idea of the procedure I mean, this is what I had to do.

1/ hold both buttons on the fob not working together (approx 12 seconds) until flashing LED on key fob goes out, release buttons and LED on fob should stay on permanently.
2/ connect pin 12 to earth (30 seconds timer is started).
3/ turn ignition on.
4/ hold button A (on left on fob) on the already working key fob down until the indicators flash once, release. The LED on dash should now be permanently on.
5/ tap button on dash once, the LED on the dash is on whilst the button is pressed and when you release goes off, wait for LED on dash to flash and repeat this 4 times, this represents pin number 1111.
6/ tap button A on key fob not working twice and notice a flash on the dash LED.

I'm afraid I don't know it for your one! Here are some websites that have helped me with bits.

www.bmwe34.net
www.e38.org/e34
www.unofficialbmw.com/e34

Otherwise, recomment asking on the forum. Good luck and hope I was of some use!!
