| Message: | recently, have had "rough" starts. even though it has been starting rough, it has usually started until friday. now it won’t start also, i've had problems in the past with the engine "dropping" a cylinder and the car sputtering a bit, but then it'll go back to normal. i've also replaced the ecu twice for that problem. it turns over, begins like jumping around like it wants to start but then nothing. i then replaced the spark plugs and tried starting again. this time the car just turned over and that's it. for fear of burning out my starter i walked away and here i am now wondering what it could be. also, i recently tried injector cleaners but it didn't help. there is a bit of an oil leak as well within the engine compartment near the top. also, within the past two months, the car would be idling fine, then almost stall or stop running but then would rebound and rev up a few 1000 rpm for 1 sec then back to normal???? anyone know what would cause that? thx for all help. i'm a student who cannot afford $80/hr shop prices. | ||||
