| Message: | It is not too hard a job. The whole center console must be removed, as the wood attaches from the bottom side. You need to start in the rear seat area. There are two screws in the slider bar for the rear vent control. This face will tilt up, exposing two larger screws. There is one screw inside the parking brake lever hole, holding the console down. remove all buttons, disconnect all wires etc. This piece should lift out. The piece with wood...there are two screws way up the sides...the carpeted "arms" of this piece are held into the center of the car. They are near the floor vents, and are hidden by carpet. Those need to come out, maybe the trim around the vents. Remove the radio, and those two bolts that screw down into the console piece. Remove ashtray and window switched. Remove plastic around shifter, there are small screws if you move the bristles aside. There might be a screw underneath there too. Then the console should pull up, and the wood unscrews from the bottom. Goes really fast if you've done this before. Let me know if you got stuck. The other pieces I didn't fool with, as they looked much better than the center console. At the same time, I refinished the ashtray and the two small piece where window/heater switches are.
