| Message: | | Very well put. The newer ones have some of the same problems like final stage resistor, hot water control valve, aux water pump. Most of the basic problems I can figure out just that you need a scanner now to read codes. Then some replacement parts must be programed to your vehicle which means going to a dealer even if you replace it.
Like you said my 735i has served me well I bought it in 1993 with 87,000 miles and it lasted to 280,000+ so I'm happy it lasted 15 years. I've never kept a car this long before and has been relatively cheap to maintain.
