You'll have to look further back - E3/E9 (181 views) 
Message: No US E12 came with a carb. You'll have to search for an E3/E9 2500/2800CS or Bavaria motor or parts, or go to European sites to find it. And of course you'll need the intake manifold.

Personally, if I was doing this, I'd go turbo rather than super and look for the parts from the E23 745i. IMHO it would be much easier, since there is a 745i community to help.
