I bought non-run-flat snow tires and wheels from Tire Rack. They installed TPMS in the new wheels. Reset the monitor when installed and all has been well. No problems. I also bought a doughnut spare from an E46 and keep it in the trunk, along with a lug wrench and jack from a deceased E39. When my current run flats die, they will be replaced by non-run-flats. It is a sad fact that my snow tires were smoother riding and quieter than the OE run-flats.
