| Message: | I paid $800 over invoice for my 08 335xi. You should never let them use MSRP as an "anchor" in your discussions. Find out what invoice is and work up from there. If you have access to a car buying service, such as USAA's, then use that to start the conversation. Be aware that in the last two weeks invoice has dropped, so many web sites may still be slightly behind. I went in on Saturday thinking I would be paying $1000 more than I did, but I asked to see the invoice and noticed that it had dropped since I had last talked with them. If they don't show you the invoice, don't purchase from them. Reputable dealerships with decent people will be willing to show you. G | ||||
