Message: Same thing happened to me on Friday (1 Sept 06).
I had 'Check LicPlate Light' warning when I started the engine in the parking lot at work. Got out and open/closed the trunk and it went away. I noticed the signals not working on the way home to pickup my girl friend. When we got to the Restraunt early she went in to check when they would be seating I put the car in park and that was it. The dash indicated Drive while the stick said Park. We noticed the clock had not advanced. When I turned the car off it would never start again. Called Dealership.. gave them VIN. AAA came and towed. Its being fixed now. Battery recharged. Told I need new break pads. 45,500 miles. I've been working from home. The dealership never asked if I needed transportation.
