| Message: | Of course, I completely agree. Thing is, just as you've stated, only a small percentage of the population do much driving in real snow, and with that in mind, it would be inappropriate for snow tires for most. For instance, in DC, we get lots of heat, quite a bit of rain, and sometimes it snows. If I were to put snow tires on my vehicle, they'd be loud, annoying, and slippery. In the northern and mid-western areas, if they put on anything less than A/S, they're in big-time trouble! So, I like to stick with recommending A/S tires for the majority of the population; they're a great all-around deal for folk who do not frequently drive in heavy snow.
