| Message: | Hi, I have an 08 X5 with about 10K miles on it - today in northeast Ohio we got a couple inches of snow. When stopping in the snow the car pulls to the right and basically takes you into the curb or off the road. It does basically the opposite of what I thought ABS was supposed to do, keep you straight and on the road, and stop the car. I was sweating the entire ride home, everytime I had to stop, the car would pull to the right - almost like I was sliding off the road, the worst feeling in the world... The funny part was I did not see anyone else sliding like this. I even got out of the car at a stop light (something that is very safe in a snow squall) to see if the road was a sheet of ice.. It was not. Could it be the ABS system? The tires? - which are the stock 18"... Tread looks good on them. We also have a 07 525xi, which is a tank in the snow, never had any feelings of being unsafe... I sent an email to my dealer, who responded telling me the service manager was going to call me in the morning and have someone pick it up. I am sure they will figure it out - just wondered if anyone had anything similar happen to them. thanks, -chris | ||||
