Gas mileage (270 views) (747 thread views) 
Message: I am thinking of trading my work car in and getting a X5. I was considering the 3.0 for gas mileage reasons. (The boss pays it). But was reading a dealership's web site and they listed the 4.4 as 22MPG on the highway. Is that right? If you set the cruise at 75 or 80 what kind of mileage are you getting on a 3.0 and 4.4?

I am looking at used 2005 or 2006 model. I would prefer the 4.4 due to horsepower. But I thought I saw somewhere that it was 19 highway but the average was like around 12mpg. The boss would flip over that.
