Message: Parking brakes are a joke on BMW's.

In my 03 325ci the parking brake never worked, unless I really yanked hard on the lever. Dealer said I had to "break it in." I did this numerous times and still, to this day, 44k miles later, the parking brake is worthless.

I'm thinking of getting a new X5 and so I'm glad to hear I'll have yet another car without a useful parking brake.
