| Message: | Did an archive search on "Parking Brake" and found nothing like the following. Other day my wife parks and sets the tranny in "P" and engages the parking brake. When she comes back, sees an error message about parking brake failure and has to manually use the plastic orange handle from the tool kit to release the brake. Just got the car back from service/dealer and the service ticket said: "Parking brake failure warning 9.99 interrogated fault memory. Found fault code 6032 - mech force stored Cleared fault code and verified funtiton of emf as per SI B34 01 08. Advise customer that the parkig brake should only be switched on and /or activated with the engine switched off." ANYONE ever heard of this or had this experience? Looked in the owner's manual and nothing about this. Took delivery of car about 11-12 months ago. Any explaination of what this is? Any software updates? Thanks al.
