| Message: | | Hello, I have a 2001 X5 4.4, my gearsfit wont go into drive D (it moves into D position but the transmisiioon wont engage into drive). It goes into R and N, but not D. At first used to be Hard to shift and eventually/ now wont go into D. Talked to couple people, they both said replace the Gearshifter that has the cable going into tranny. Bought the Shifter, and planning to tackle the job myself. Wondering does anyone know how and where the other end of the cable shifts (on tranny side). Thank You.
