| Message: | | I use a large bottle in about a half tank of gas if its not acting right. It usually smooths out in a day or so. Otherwise, I use a bottle in a full tank, especially when going on a trip, but about once a month all the time, except that I occasionally forget if its running smoothly. Mine runs fine on Chevron and Mobil, I use Texaco and Shell and Exxon on occasion. Mine doesn't like Amoco/BP. It stumbles a bit and just doesn't feel right, but I have had to buy it, including a couple of weeks ago on a trip, and sure enough it started stumbling, especially when idling around a parking lot. I almost ruined a BMW some years ago using Gulf after BP bought it and perhaps cheapened the mix. It led to buildup on the intake valves. The BMW service guy thought I must be from Mars not to know that, and said to use only Chevron. Its not the octane its the detergents.
