I took a look at the icruze setup when it finally came out 2 months later than it was supposed to, and when I did I found out that they didn't support DSP and that the unit was going to cost $379 BEFORE tax and shipping. They also couldn't guarantee ID3 text support.
As for wiring, the Digital sound converter from radio shack DOES need to be wired in for dsp to work. if you didn't have DSP then it would simply be plug and play. Wiring was actually pretty easy to do, I just piggybacked off the purple and white wire that runs along the back of the cargo compartment, and tied into one of the brown grounds in the trunk.
