All cars use oil, get over it. Some don't use much, but it's rare for BMW engines to use so little that you can go 15K miles without topping off.

Our '91 525i used around 1 quart per 2,000 miles. From the time it had 80K until 200K (when it was wrecked.) Ran perfectly and still got the same mileage as it always did.
