| Message: | We are in a similar predicament. I drive a 2006 750Li with 20" summer wheels & tires that will be horrible in the snow. Long story short, we are looking for a new car for my wife, and I am going to use her 2004 Audi A4 Quattro as a winter car. She wants AWD and nothing too big, so we looked at the 328xi & X3. The 328 is nice, but I found the cabin claustrophobic and the car overall unexciting. We were both pleasantly surprised by how much we like the X3. Drives and handles well, not like an SUV. Feels much roomier than the 328, and the interior fit and finish are superb. Plus, we like the idea of being able to haul things that can't fit in a car (Home Depot, Toys R' Us, etc.). End result is we have a Sapphire Black with black leather X3 on order for December delivery (wife wants PDC, and none in stock had it). For us the decision was easy, but you already have an SUV in the garage, and having two may be silly. In your case I might opt for the sedan. Good luck in whatever you decide. | ||||
