SMG Problem (635 views) (1106 thread views)
Message: Hello all, I have not been on this Board since I had purchased my 2001 M3 Convertible. Since then I have bought a 2007 M5 Individual and have had nothing but technical problems with it. Since I purchased the car I noticed one very big problem that the dealer just cannot seem to resolve and I wanted to know if this has happened or is happening to anyone else with their M5. Many times as I am in stop and go traffic, waiting for the light to change, as soon as I press the accelerator (very gently) the car jolts ahead as if the car had popped the clutch. The first few time it happened to me, I actually got out of my car because I thought someone had rear-ended me, it is that erratic. I have tried everything, power mode, non-power mode, automatic mode, manual mode, but it still happens 10%-20% of the time when I start from a red light or in stop and go traffic. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
