Message: Hi E30 M£ owners out there ...

I have a 1989 E30 M3 cariolet with a roof that doesn't want to work properly. I've had the elecrics, electronics and microswitches all checked out and the problem remains - next stop hydraulics !!

Symptoms as follows: when the roof trys to open the hydraulic rams rock open then close then open then close etc, etc in doing so they are not finishing their cycle to enable the rear roof panel to open for the roof to finish it's cycle.

When the pressure is released from the pump the roof can be manually opened / closed. Has anyone had a similar problem? Anyone know how the hydraulic valves can be tested?

I look forward to hearing from anyone !!
