while it's nice and we've seen some really incredible shows (like the Planet Earth series on Discovery), I appreciate it more for the size of the picture (50" plasma), the widescreen ratio, and the fact that the picture actually extends to the edges. Our old CRT was too rounded off, I lost things like sports tickers on the bottom of the screen.

The HD picture is good, but I'm not as impressed as some people seem to be.
