One would think that with all the new technologies and materials, car weights would be lower (and thus more gasoline efficient) than older cars. How about a 1956 Bel Air with a V8. How much did it weigh? Well, one model was 3177 lbs, and even the V8 station wagon was under 3500 lbs. Things that make you go hmmmm......
