plate off the strut, undo the outer tie rod end, and remove the bolts from the bushing ends of the struts. That way you can more easily evaluate whether the ball joints also need replacing (in which case a new arm makes the most sense) or just press in new bushings on the upper (in which case you can easily get the whole assembly to a press without having to remove the ball joints).
