| Message: | | Steffen, by his own postings, indicated he was in working on 1) the brake booster, 2) the aux pump, and 3) the +T pump. I'm maintaining it's the actual B+ terminal. It relies on a rather flimsy amount of plastic to keep it separated from all the metal parts around it. Either it was removed, moved, or eventually failed by grounding to the chassis.
Greg, given the amount of process and resources devoted by the NTSB in figuring a root-cause analysis as one example, simply telling everybody to inspect their cables based on a sample size of one is, while certainly neighborly and appreciated for its intent, not scientifically valid.
Greg, technical peer review, dissent, and scepticism is a good thing and should be encouraged in this environment. It should not be perceived as a personal reflection on you.
