Yes #12 is the o-ring in question. Once you remove the flange and nut you need to remove the 13mm bolts that hold the rear extention housing on (have to remove the rear mounts and lift trans slightly) then it is right there for you to replace. Yep it is a little more work and I belive it is worth it.
