I don't recall seeing a "correct" method to disable the SRS light. Two years ago my SRS light was blinking due to an error in reassembling the steering wheel. After trying Zymexx without success I eventually surrender the car to a shop to reset the light. Search archive and you will find questions similar to yours, and answers discouraging such move.
There are obviously a couple quick ways to make the red SRS light not blinking any more but these days drivers automatically assume an air bag is there to protect them. Even a car burglar may have the right to sue the owner if the former is injured from an accident. If you are determined to do it, I suggest that you put a warning label in the middle of steering wheel "This car does not have a driver side air bag". Patrick C 88 750 159K
