My locks are all messed up (130 views) (332 thread views)
Message: This is what I have to do to get into my 1989 735il:

1) Go to the passenger side door and unlock the door. The all the doors will unlock for a split second.

2) While the doors are unlocked for a split second, I open the rear passenger side door.

3) Then I lift the front passenger side lock (reaching in from the back door) and hold it as it goes through 4 cycles of unlocking / locking.

4) When the door is finally unlocked, I close the rear door and open the front passenger side door. Then I reach in to the driver's side door and unlock it by pulling the lock up.

5) Then I open the driver's side door manually from inside the car.

6) Then I go around to the driver's side of the car and get in.

7) As soon as I lift the door handle the driver's side rear door lock unlocks.

This is getting on my nerves. So. I have read about sync'ing the locks, but it's not working or I don't have it down right.

Somebody, please hook me up.

Thanks,

Mike Oswald
