| Message: | Jaydee....To the best of my knwledge the DKs do not respond until engine is running. I own 1 and never noticed... I just recently had a experience of my own doing where the O2 sensors got reversed at the input connectors...Plugged them in backwards. I could barely get over 2k just sitting. Limp mode is where the car shuts 1 bank down. If you have looked in the Passenger electronic box you would have noticed 2 DMEs 1 for each side. The EML synchs the 2 banks. If it senses a problem with either bank it shuts it down and you limp home literally.. With that said you need to discover what and which side is in limp. Usually the DKs will tell you..once running with the hood up step on the pedal yopu can see the DKS move from inside the car... My personal experience with limp mode was this. The O2 sensors the connector was getting wet...Put me in limp mode. The gearselector switch was haywire put me in limp mode. Other things are MAF real popular choice...Try swapping once you determine which bank... As of 3-14-05 there are 2 Ebay auctions on these..cheap Some links to help you. To the board...If any of this is incorrect post the correct operation of the components...Thanks Sena & Johans page Rebuilding and cleaning the DKs Gales page clening gear selector switch Keep us posted | ||||
