Trans cured with reset........ or is it? (1401 views)
Message: I did the hard reboot as per instructions, it improved the idle which wasn't bad to beggin with, it smoothed the shifts, including the bumpy, kind of "taking up the slack" shift from 3rd to OD.
It seems that the performance is lacking a bit, a little slower up to 2000/2500 rpm. All in all, a good deal, since it did away with the crummy shifts, right? Hmmmm ....
I drove it for two/ three days and I liked it, problem is that now the [Oops!] is falling back to its old ways.
Somwhere, somehow, it is relearning all the wrong dancing moves again.
Conclusion: There must be some adjustment, some reading, sensor, or just Gods Divine Will that is playing havoc with the computer/s.

So, any of you thinking you got away cheap, and now you don't have to shell out for whatever was wrong with the car to beggin with, you are mistaking.
It will come back to haunt you like Freddy Kruger.
On the other hand if nothing was wrong with it other than the wrong moves it learned from a previous dance partner (the jackass that owned it before you that is), you are teaching it the right moves now and she'll mambo to your tune 'till kingdome come.
Rejoice! :-)

Chris Balaban.

PS: Hey, Don S., that last name seems familiar, you know? Sounds RO. Is it?
