| Message: | | The E36 M3 maybe fast and a fun car to drive but it is just a "quasi ///M car". No individual throttle bodies for each cylinder equal no genuine M car.
A few years back, I took out the E36 M3 for a short spin and it was pretty fast and handled pretty well, but no way that I would own one of these than an E24 ///M. These 2 cars are completely different animals from different eras, so don't try to compare them. The S38/M88 is a detuned genuine thoroughbred race engine dating to the factory racing 3.0 CSL's and the M1's, whereas the E36 M3 engine is just a bored and stroked out unit from the 325i.
