Thanks guys. I drove the M3 again and it really is another animal. Comparing it with the E24 M6 makes no sense. But the M3 was such a blast to drive. I've driven everything including an E46 M3 and the E36 feels just right. The engine on the E46 is a "screamer." It just does not have a refined smoothness to it... I'm not a collector and don't need trophies in my garage so I'm thinking of selling the M6. By the way, what should an 97 E36 M3 with 21k cost? It's the coupe.
